Portraits, Weddings & Landscapes
Welcome
Since the age of sixteen I’ve been taking images of coastal and farming life in Essex.
I started photography as an amateur but then started to sell my landscape prints and take commissions for portraiture work. This included bands, musicians, actresses, and dancers. I then took commissions for specialist weddings and photojournalist assignments.
My personal collections are focused on landscapes and portrait photography.
Based in the South East of England on the picturesque coastline at Bradwell-On-Sea, in Essex; situated near Maldon an historical port and market town.
Bradwell is surrounded by the country’s best salt marsh in Southern England, home to many migrating birds. The area is also famed for its natural beauty and light.
One of the main focal points of the area is the first church to be built in Southern England ‘St Peters on the wall’ constructed by two monks, St Cedd and St Chadd on the remains of Orthona fort; the only Roman Fort in England to be placed half in land and half in the sea.
Ethos
My ethos is to ‘capture the moment of the day’ I want my pictures to be seen as a snap shot of our time when viewed many years later, a frozen slice of time revealing fashions, social history and environmental change.
